Holidays are always a time for fun and festivities! Let’s keep them that way by reminding ourselves that it’s a real world we live in so as not to become complacent. Halloween can be one of the most exciting holidays for children with the bounty of sweets they can collect. Because of the exchange of edible food items and the potential for your children to interact with total strangers this holiday can present unique challenges for concerned parents.
Here are two links to some helpful tips for keeping you and your child safe, courtesy of Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Dept. website.

Spring is in the air, which means its time for the Yorkshire Community to band together to clean up our community! Our focus will be to clean up the common areas including the creek that runs behind the Pool and Playground area. Meet us at the Pavilion at 8:00AM on Saturday March 27th. Trash bags will be available and we recommend bringing some yard or work gloves with you. If you or your children participate in a program that gives credit for community service, we’ll be happy to sign off on any certificates or forms to provide proof of service.

Board of Directors is considering pulling up and discarding the individual neighborhood signs (Turnberry, Hookston, Yorkdale, Freshwell, etc) and changing the two monuments on Moss Rd to
read the same as they do on Hwy 49, “Yorkshire”.
Before the Board makes a decision, we would like to hear some input from the residents. Please take advantage of this opportunity to become actively involved in your community. There has been a “Poll” setup in the Forum under “Talk to the Board of Directors”.
NOTE: You will need to become a member of the “Forum” in order to vote in the “Poll”.
